qui il dettaglio delle sessioni:

GDPR is Coming - Is your Recovery Ready?
(Phil Grainger, BMC Software)

The European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in 2018 and has some quite startling things to say about data recovery In this session, we will review at a HIGH level what GDPR requires of you, before looking specifically at the data recovery requirements and how BMC can help not just with recovery but with the extra tasks needed to ensure your recovery is in compliance with GDPR Solving Db2 Performance

Problems
(Phil Grainger, BMC Software)

This session looks at how you FIND performance problems, or more specifically, how you can eliminate Db2 problems from everyone elses.
There is no need to spend exhaustive time looking for a Db2 problem only to find the solution lies somewhere else. So how can you QUICKLY (and easily) deflect attention when it is not warranted? We will also look at some techniques to make performance problem analysis easier – there are things you can do IN ADVANCE to help with fault finding Lastly we will consider how to proof our Db2 subsystems and applications against performance problems in the future, and look at workload access path management

How to survive with 1 TB Tables Heavily RW-Accessed: An Universal Tablespace

PBG/PBR Story
(Laura Montorio, Banca d’Italia)

Db2 12: the new ‘Continuous Delivery’ Approach
(Laura Montorio, Banca d’Italia)

UBI’S Way to Efficiency By Db2 for z/OS Clones Consolidation
(Mauro Contessa, UBISS)
UBI Banca group - An experience of consolidation of many Db2 z/OS 'clones' into a larger unified Db2 z/OS environment and role of Db2 Analytics Accelerator HPSS for archiving historical data

This presentation will show the activities and best practices adopted to bring UBI Db2 z/OS environment from many independent clones to a unified Data Sharing environment facing:
contention managements ( locks suspension ) due to the consolidation activity--> use of Db2 Sequence ( identity columns )
Buffer Pool management and benefits with use of large BP in Db2 V11
Data Sharing with group buffer pool ; coupling ( Duplexing )
CICSPLEX with Db2 Data Sharing and MQ Sharing
Performances measurement : preparation ( what has been done, stress test preparation ) and execution ; issues found; performances problems resolution; optimization hints
Use of Db2 Analytics Accelerator & Loader for archiving and accessing large volume of historical data deriving from the migration done .

The New Disruptive Db2 Analytics Accelerator
(Francesco Borrello, IBM Italia)

This session provides a great overview about 'What's on with IDAA'. Latest delivered new features are introduced, what they are about, what's their value proposition and how they fit into IBM's overall Z Analytics Strategy.

Db2 zOS Security & Encryption Update
(Francesco Borrello, IBM Italia)

Extensive use of encryption is one of the most impactful ways to help reduce the risks and financial losses of a data breach and help meet complex compliance mandates.
This session provides a great overview about IBM z Systems Pervasive Encryption exploitation in Db2 for zOS context to transparently encrypt data at rest without database downtime or requiring the administrator to redefine objects which could cause disruption to operations

DVM: Unlock Z Data for Any Application
(Roberta Nobili, IBM Italia)

Data Virtualization Manager (DVM) unlocks the full potential of data on IBM Z to provide universal access to any application regardless of location or format required. Older data architectures struggle with real-time requirements. No matter how fast data is collected and moved, it will never be as fast as real-time, in-place access and this makes DVM the new HOT solution.
This session will discuss how data virtualization’s synergy with today’s API economy can evolve the information architecture on IBM Z. Customers can use DVM to modernize, accelerate and simplify all their applications that need mainframe transactional data.
